Soup's On: Welcome to the Party!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party!

What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?

Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:

A focal
A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)
Some coordinating spacers or beads

Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.

Here is another picture of the beads I received from my fantastic Bead Soup partner, Holly at SilverRose Designs:

And here's what I made:

The colors Holly chose are truly my favorite combination, and I was so excited to be able to play with them in this set.  The Unicorne Beads glass focal is just gorgeous, and looks like a Monet painting to me.  The copper that Holly sent to go with it really compliment it beautifully.

The whimsical handmade clasp set the tone for the links, and I used the fun barbell wire lengths to wrap around them randomly.  Holly even sent some fun enameled barbells that really compliment the blues in the stones beautifully.

One of my favorite things Holly sent were the handmade bead caps, which I used on the large firepolished beads and for the base of the earrings:

What a fun, fun challenge!  Many thanks go out to Holly at SilverRose Designs for sending such fabulous goodies for me to play with, and to Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for all of the hard work she has put into this event.
