Here it is: my 3rd project from Deryn Mentock's Summer Jewelry Challenge: "Shelf Necklace". I decided to go back to the vintage-y look with this one, and used an old belt link as the base, which I heat colored and then textured. For the beads I took apart a couple of old vintage necklaces and combined those beads with some others I had lying around here and an antique button. The result is a very "girly" piece that makes me smile. :-)
Beautiful necklace Molly! I love the romantic look of it. I can clearly see, you're having fun!
Molly, you did such a great job~it is lovely!
This is so pretty! I love the colors and beads you used!
Molly,
You made this project really look pretty~~I really love your version!
I hope it's OK, but I put your blog as one of my favorite links on my website.
Have a blessed week~
Hi Molly,
I love your version - it's so frilly, feminine and vintage-y! The scalloped edges of the belt buckle give it a girly look that isn't in Mary's version - you've made this completely your own. Bravo!
I scaled mine up a bit and made a small wall ornament for Ornament Thursday. You can see it here:

It's such a fun project and I love seeing how everyone has interpreted it.
Happy Ornament Thursday!
