Fun New Stuff For The New Year

Hi everyone!

I have a New Year’s post I’m writing, but want to mull it over a bit more…

In the meantime, let me share some fun things I’ve been working on.  First, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Barbara Lewis’ enameled beads and jewelry (check them out in the Winter Belle Armoire Jewelry – fantastic!), and I asked for money or Christmas so I could invest a bit in trying it out myself.  I ordered the Bead Pulling Station from her Etsy shop, Painting With Fire, and I purchased Thompson Enamels in 12 colors.  With the Bead Pulling Station, Barbara sent detailed instructions on her process, which are awesome and very easy to understand!  I’ve gotta confess:  I’m absolutely addicted!  Here’s some pictures to show you the results:

Enameled Pieces

I am excited to use my new enameled creations in some new jewelry pieces!  Thanks Barbara!

Secondly, I’m listing some new items on Etsy, and here’s a preview:

In addition to these copper pieces, I’ve made another necklace using ICE Resin (yet another addiction, I’m afraid!):

P1040009

The necklace is 36” long and is made from copper, picasso finish glass beads and labradorite, and can be worn long:

P1040002

or short (18”):

P1040006

P1040005

I love how it turned out, and am in the process of making even more pieces using the ICE resin.

That’s it for now – more to come soon!

My goodness, Miss Molly! You've been one busy lady! I am so amazed at what you've done in such a short time with Barbara's enameling system! Just look at those beautiful beads you made! I am hoping to meet Barbara in person when she comes to our area for a workshop in March.
Your new Etsy pieces are just stunning...and my favorite is that labradorite necklace(love how it can be worn both long and short!)
Happy New Year!

what great work you did on the ice resin necklace! Great job with the bezel, it looks so fabulous. What is that inside? A flower?

Oh Molly, haven't you been busy!! Good for you. These are great, you are a quick learner, that is for sure. Have a ball experimenting. I would love to try this one day, but too much else on the burner right now, I'll just enjoy seeing you move forward. Take care. Riki

Molly, I found you doing a search for Mary Hettmansperger and I can't believe how gorgeous your work is! I was so excited to see your results from Barb Lewis's ennameling article, I haven't the courage to try it yet. But your components are lovely, especially the firey orange donut. I can't wait to see what you do with them!
