"Butterfly Gardens"
The inspiration for this necklace comes from these GORGEOUS artisan lampwork beads made by the fabulously talented Jennifer Jennings of http://www.blueseraphim.etsy.com/. The blues, periwinkles and earth tones work perfectly with the etched copper butterfly and handmade bead caps.
I also made a sweet pair of earrings with the same beautiful beads, and I love the way they look with the necklace.
Hand-coiled copper wire links and wire-wrapped copper beads I picked up at Rings and Things' unbelievable bead show in Mesa complete the chain that closes with a handmade clasp.
You can find this summery set in my etsy store.
Have a fantastic rest of your long weekend!
Beautiful lampwork beads, and your etched butterfly is simply gorgeous~as usual!
Hope you are having a great Memorial weekend =)
My friend is fond of collecting anything with butterflies on it. I'm sure she will gonna love this. Beautiful!
This is gorgeous! I love the copper elements.
oh wow wow wow, your butterfly here is so very pretty! I love the way it works so well with the swee bead caps and lovely lampwork. Great work!
WOW! I love what you did with those beads... they go so well with the copper and the etched butterfly.
I have added that shop as a fave and hope I can get my hands on some of her beads as well! :D
So cool. Did you texture the butterfly yourself? I picked up a bunch of texturing plates at the last BeadFest and was amazed at how much fun it was. And very cathartic to pound the heck out of metal! :-)
So nice Molly, great job. LOve this necklace, the etching is so deep and beautiful, and love the shape of the butterfly. The beads you used are fabulous. Great job. Happy weekend! Hugs, Riki
