It's that time again! The talented Lorelei Eurto issued a second Michael's Reader's challenge, and today is the reveal!
Here's how it works: Lorelei picks out beads and chain at her local Michael's store, posts pictures of her finds, and whoever wants to participate purchases the same items, adds two additional beads or colors, adds their own focal and clasp and posts pictures of their pieces and links to the other participants' sites.
Here are the items she picked out (aren't they beautiful?):
And here is my finished piece, called "On The Fringe":
I took cues from the beautiful turquoises and blues reflected in the peacock-hued potato pearls and the warm tones of the mother of pearl ovals, adding teal, gunmetal and black seed beads and tawny antiqued copper accents, making up many, many, many, many (you get the idea) charms that dangle like fringe from the gunmetal chain.
For fun, I added some extra 'fringe' coming off of the larger loop, adding more movement to the piece.
Thanks so much for organizing this fun challenge Lorelei! Now take some time and check out the other participants' creations and get ready for some serious eye candy!

This is wonderful, Molly. I love it. Such a nice piece - I would love to see a picture with you wearing it.
Hi Molly!
This turned out fantastic! I love how you used the beads, all fringy in the front. Great job!
Very pretty, I too used the beads as adangles but couldn't do wrapped loops because of the crappy head pins I bought at Michael's. I should have used a color other than gunmetal like you did such a great idea!

What a beauty. Your fringe is great and the addition of the extra chain is super.
I'm loving this one, all the danglies in the front and the tassle on the side. And I love the little bit of color you added in the back with the tiny strands of beads. Really Great!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fringe is fab! What you've made looks like it's how the beads are meant to be! I bet it really MOVES when worn. GREAT job!!!
Gorgeous Molly! That takes a LOT of time to wrap all those. I think it was worth it ;-)
Enjoy the day!

Molly, that fringe on the side is wonderful! What an inspiration that was, for sure. I do love this necklace!

Excellent piece. I love the wrapped dangled fringe effect. Very pretty!
How fun! I'm home sick today, so I will enjoy "surfing" all the lovely pieces. Thank you Molly!
I LOVE your piece! I love the fringies and bet it look so gorgeous on~~good job.
This is gorgeous. The design and the colors in these beads remind me of winter trees. It's a beautiful and very appropriate piece for this time of year. Very lovely work. :)
This is lovely. Its a lot of work to do all those wraps (!), but it was worth it! I love how you made it asymetrical with the dangling chain. Great work!
Wow! Your necklace looks so organic and natural! I love it! Great job!
