Do-Over Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the Do-Over Challenge Blog Hop hosted by the talented Jeannie Dukic of Jewelry By Jeannie.  If you remember, in this post I showed you a photo of an old necklace design of Jeannie's that she has challenged me to re-work.  To refresh your memory, here is the original necklace:

The necklace had dozens of tiny turquoise chips and pink coral beads that would work well with my newest hobby of beadweaving.

Here is what I made from Jeannie's design:

I made a beaded collage cabochon using coordinating glass beads and the coral beads, as well as adding the  beaded tassel with glass and some of the turquoise chips.

Here's a detailed picture of the focal.

I opted for an asymmetrical design, with the turquoise on one side and silver plated chains on the other to balance out the visual weight of the turquoise.

I hope you'll take some time to check out the other amazing artists participating in this fun hop:

GORGEOUS! And I like the term "visual weight" -- I may have to borrow that.

Your seed bead work is amazing!

Incredibly beautiful! I love the woven cab and how you used the coral beads and the turquoise chips. They work so well together in that asymmetric design.
