Welcome to the Do-Over Challenge Blog Hop hosted by the talented Jeannie Dukic of JKD Studio!
The way this works is Jeannie sends out an old piece of jewelry that she made and challenges us to use the components of the piece in a new piece of jewelry.
Here is a photo of the jewelry I received:
Iris Green Freshwater Pearls and Czech Glass Rounds |
A sweet necklace /earring set just waiting to be given new life.
Here's what I created:
Adding in some smoky iridized droplets, I made 125 tiny dangling charms that I paired with an industrial-feel chain and clasp.
This is one of my favorite kinds of bracelets to make, even though they are very labor-intensive. I love the movement and sound of all those tiny danglies as they hang from your wrist.
So cute - and it will go with so many things!
Below is a list of all the participants - take some time to see what everyone else did with their makeovers:
Ooh, ooh, that's wonderful! I would never have thought of doing that but it sure worked out well. The warm metal works perfectly with the dark pearls. It's bulky and delicate at the same time. Very wearable!
I really love this bracelet! 125 dangles - wow! But it turned out great. Love that rustic chain!
Molly your lush dangle bracelet is beautiful. Good job.
The is so cute, I love dangle bracelets!
Gasp! Oh am in love! What a beautiful bracelet! Where did you get those driplets from? I need me some of those!
That is spectacular! I love the ying and yang of this. Your bracelet is really a work of art. Christie
WOW! Molly! You did it again. This is spectacular! One for the Do Over Challenge Memory Book. :) I know how labor intensive a design like this can be, but aren't you happy you did? Love the smoky beads with the pearls. Thank you so much for participating. Looking forward to the next one.
