Well, we made it to Friday, and that means it's time for another Creative Sparks Friday! Here are the "sparks" for this week:
**CREATIVE SPARK ONE**
•Artistic Theme•
The Flowers of Summer

**CREATIVE SPARK TWO**
•Theme Words Poem or Phrase•
When a gauzy purple butterfly,
softly tilts a golden flower...
it's cool wings ease the summer flame
as laughter sooths a troubled hour.-

**Creative SPARK THREE**
•Theme Color Palette•
...and here's what I created:
"On Wings Of Hope"
I torch-fire enameled a copper butterfly and a brass flower, and attached them using a rivet. I then re-fired them, covering the rivet in enamel.
I had planned on using sari silk with the chain, but I liked the simplicity of the chain by itself. I attached a deep red Czech flower charm to the handmade clasp to finish off the piece.
This was a fun "spark" to work on, and I'm looking forward to next week's inspiration. If you are interested in purchasing "On Wings of Hope", you can find it in my etsy store.
Take a few moments to go out to The Gritty Bird, Becky Caldwell's blog, to see what has "sparked" other artists this week!
This totally great, Molly. I LOVE your enameled pieces. And the chain is great. And you are absolutly right about the simplicity.
Molly! This is so absolutely gorgeous...love those colors and your enameling is beautiful!
Thanks for the spark .I may add it with a theme from Illustration Friday and then voila I have it .Now for some one to do the art for me TEE HEE
Awesome necklace - I love how you have attached the flower to the butterfly and the colors are fabulous!

Oh. My.
Molly, this is just lovely! So simple, but such great color at the same time!!! Love the enameling and the riveting - such cool things to bring the butterfly to life!
Isn't it just amazing how many ways these "sparks" can be interpreted? I am so delighted to see everyone's project each week.
Blessings on your weekend,
Alesha
P.S. The name of the necklace is just PERFECT too! :)
