Lorelei's Michael's Blog Hop

I wanted to share a really fun Blog Hop that Lorelei Eurto has going on her blog:

Lorelei had anyone who wanted to participate in this blog hop to go to Michael's and purchase these beads (don't you just love all the different colors and textures?):

Lorelei's Reader Challenge

Participants were then to create a piece of jewelry using all of the beads and the chain and then post pictures of what they made.

So, without further ado, here is my challenge piece:

PA140021

I've had the collage/ICE Resin focal made for quite some time, and have been waiting for a project in which to use it.  the colors from this challenge perfectly suited the old-fashioned but modern feel of my focal, and I jumped right in.

PA140026

I have to admit, I tried and tried (and tried, and tried, and tried), but couldn't work in the white chain or tiny green pearls (ask my husband - I think he saw about 10 incarnations of this necklace before I finally admitted defeat!).

PA140020

What a fun challenge!  I encourage you to go over to Lorelei's blog and to the blogs listed below to check out the amazing jewelry made with these beads:

Thanks so much Lorelei for hosting this fun hop!

I love it! I love the wire wrapping on the white pearls, the dark wire against the white- beautiful! I hope you can find something more fitting to do with the white chain. I saw another blogger today who distressed the chain which I thought was a great idea!
Thank you for participating!

Wow! You created an artifact! Everything is so precise and perfect, and it seems so old, like a lost treasure resurfaced. I especially adore what you've done with those pearls. :)

I like how you wire wrapped the light colors. It looks great. I am thinking of distressing the chain for further use. White is just too much for my stash. LOL! It has been a fun challenge

Alright, I have found you and of course, I had to go blog hopping to boot. Love your blog. The necklace you made for this challenge is beautiful. How delightful to see what you and so many others are doing with beads; the creative juices a flowing!

Looking forward to spending eternity getting to know one another better. Or will that be necessary? Will we all know one another perfectly to begin with? We shall see. What I know for sure is that we will spend eternity getting to worship our Lord together. :)

In the meantime, see you around bloggyland.
