Lorelei and Shannon's Lima Beads Blog Hop

Here is a picture of the beautiful beads that Lorelei and Shannon picked for their Lima Beads Blog Hop:

Aren't those just the most beautiful colors?  I love the combination of colors and textures, and did my best to use as much of the kit as I could.

Without further ado, here's my necklace (please excuse the pictures - I had to use artificial light and couldn't find my light box anywhere!):

I really wanted to highlight the ribbon and the gorgeous glass drops, and still include most of the other elements without the design getting too fussy.

The three pressed glass flowers are wired to the brass filigree focal with copper wire.

I tried a new technique weaving seed beads around the glass beads, and I really like the effect.

Thanks for stopping by!  For the links to the rest of the participants and some amazing eye candy, hop on over to Lorelei's blog here.

Beautiful!! I agree the seed beads look great weaving in and out of the larger beads. Wonderful flow to your necklace.

i really like it too - what a beautiful necklace, molly... you managed to use so many elements and yet keep it simple... and you did highlight the ribbon... this one was tough... well done!

Wow Molly, that is different. I must admit I myself was stumped by that filligre piece, but I love how you used it. The whole piece is pretty!

The necklace is beautiful. I love the asymmetry of the design and the incorporation of the ribbon. The dangles create a sense of whimsy and the seed bead weaving gives a sense of sophistication.

Wow! I love how you managed to use so many of the pieces in the one necklace. I especially like the way you used the filigree with the briolettes - it's so pretty!

Love how you added the beads to the filigree and suspended the 3 different length drops. The seed beads with the glass really adds such a touch of movement and color. I love the whole style of your piece.
