Bead Table Wednesday (Evening)...

I wanted to get this post finished much earlier, but the stuff of life got in the way - you know how it goes!  We spent the 3-day weekend out in San Diego visiting colleges with our son, and my wonderful hubby let me stop by what I can only describe as the "Costco of beads" - South Sun (www.SouthSunProducts.com).

Wow - I was overwhelmed by a gazillion choices, and ended up with these beads, which are what are on my bead table today:

You would think that I would have ended up with more, but the choices were so mind-boggling, and I didn't go in with a game plan.  I do, however, plan to spend more time there when we are visiting our son next year - hee hee!

I've spent the past couple of days playing in my studio and etching:

I've got some ideas about how I'm going to use these pieces, and I think some of the etched gears may go up in my Etsy shop.

Bead Table Wednesday: What's On Your Table Today?

Heather Powers of Humblebeads hosts "Bead Table Wednesday", allowing us to show off what we have going on in our workshops.  Here's what is laid out on my work table today:

I've had these gorgeous beads from Juls Beads (who, incidentally, is having a 20% off sale in her etsy shop right now!), and am finally incorporating them into a couple of jewelry pieces.

Here's a quick peek at what's on my (considerably messier) bead table today:

I've got about 6 projects I'm trying to put together, and pulled out the old 'bead bin' that is just a mish-mash of millions of beads, some of which I've had for 15 years - like I said, a big mess, but a good resource when I need inspiration.

Bead Table Wednesday: What Are You Working On?

Hello!  Today is Bead Table Wednesday, so here's a picture of the beads I'm working with today:

I am (finally) able to sit down and work on my piece for Lorelei Eurto's Fusion Beads Reader's Challenge after getting 5 loads of laundry done yesterday - 5 LOADS!  Who has that much laundry?  Crazy!  But it is done and I can create today - yea!

Heather Powers of Humblebeads started this idea and it is so fun to see what everyone has going on.  So...what are you working on this week?  Take a picture of your bead table and upload the picture to the BTW Flickr group, and while you are there, check out the other works-in-progress!

Bead Table Wednesday

Heather Powers of Humblebeads is hosting a fun weekly bit of inspiration called "Bead Table Wednesday". To participate, you just have to post a picture of what is on your bead table at the moment, blog about it and post the picture in the flicker group as well.

So here's what is on my bead table today:



I've got beautiful glass beads and discs from Cindy Gimbrone and Blue Seraphim and an enameled heart and key by me along with some turquoise recycled sari silk.  I've been trying to work out a design that hasn't quite come together - YET - but it will!
